Remember the magic of pipes as in
ra -r argus_file -w - |raconnections -(options) | perl_script.pl
you can preprocess the input to the perl script with Argus tools as much as
you want or need to. In this case the only thing the perl script is doing
is selecting out the two output streams by your criteria which ra/raconnections
doesn't currently do. If you can't compress far enough in ra/raconnections with
a loss of efficiency/ increase in time you can do so in the perl script with
relative ease (associative arrays are wonderful things for aggregating flows
over time for instance).
