Multi threaded Argus

Hey David,
Solaris supports two Solaris and POSIX threads.
Seems like Linux should look at least like POSIX threads?
I think I can do the #ifdef thing around all the thread
functions so that its still portable?

RedHat 6.0 seems to support pthreads out of the box.
Isn't solaris gonna screw this up since they don't use pthreads?
