**** How Apple Made The World Safe For The Future Of Keyboards <http://www.cultofmac.com/how-apple-made-the-world-safe-for-the-future-of-keyboards/88879>
Mike Elgan, Cult Of Mac
Apple crammed on-screen keyboards down our throats, and I complained about it. But I was wrong. Training the world to accept touch screens was the beginning of the software keyboard revolution.
**** Criticized Color App Receives Update, But Is It Any Better? <http://appadvice.com/appnn/2011/04/criticized-color-app-receives-update/>
Bryan Wolfe, AppAdvice
The critically panned Color app for the iPhone/iPod touch has received an update. The photo-sharing app now includes improved navigation, updated icons, among other changes. But, will it be enough to quiet its critics?
**** Apple Steps Up iPad 2 Campaign To Push Functionality Over Hardware Specifications <http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/11/04/03/apple_steps_up_ipad_2_campaign_to_push_functionality_over_hardware_specifications.html>
Daniel Eran Dilger, AppleInsider
The new ad continues the series of iPad commercials that have focused on its capabilities, with little if any mention of its hardware specifications. However, the new ad strikes a new sentimental tone portraying the device as being natural and intuitive to the point where the underlying technology vanishes.

**** A Different Gandhi <http://www.nybooks.com/articles/archives/2011/apr/28/different-gandhi/?pagination=false>
Anita Desai, New York Review Of Books
Even in his lifetime the legend of Mahatma Gandhi had grown to such proportions that the man himself can be said to have disappeared as if into a dust storm. Joseph Lelyveldâs new biography sets out to find him. His subtitle alerts us that this is not a conventional biography in that he does not repeat the well-documented story of Gandhiâs struggle for India but rather his struggle with India, the country that exasperated, infuriated, and dismayed him, notwithstanding his love for it.

Nick Bilton, New York Times
After failing to rid the negative sites on their own, most turned to a new breed of Web specialists known as online reputation managers, who offer to expunge negative posts, bury unfavorable search results and monitor a clientâs virtual image.

The debate was a lesson in good manners. No one raised their voices or showed the least bit of temper. There was not a single sharp exchange. Wijeysingha was sharp, but the PAP didnât respond in kind.

**** Quick Thoughts On TV Debate Between Political Parties <http://yawningbread.wordpress.com/2011/04/03/quick-thoughts-on-tv-debate-between-political-parties/>
Yawning Bread
Will Singaporeans see differences among parties as a result of this TV forum? I think they will, though Iâd be loathe to suggest that others will arrive at the same assessment as I did. Which parties will they judge to be âcredibleâ and worthy of their votes? Has SDP managed to repair its public image enough to make it electable? Has Lina Chiam destroyed her own chances in Potong Pasir where she has declared her candidacy?

ἼκαÏÎ¿Ï Flew Too High
The entire programme was too short for my liking and the extremely biased rules are still something that CNA has to answer for. But such forums can be a dream for some parties and a bane for others â amidst the horrible rules, a star was born while a certain politicianâs wife simply just floundered her way through the entire taping.
**** Sitoh Yih Pin To Fight For Potong Pasir Seat Again <http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_652516.html>

Mr Sitoh Yih Pin intends to run for the third time on the People's Action Party (PAP) ticket in Potong Pasir, he told reporters on Sunday.
'I've been here for more than 10 years. This is my second home. As long as I am in politics, I will never walk away from the residents of Potong Pasir,' he said.

**** GE: S'poreans Can Decide What Real Issues Are, Says Shanmugam <http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/1120434/1/.html>
May Wong, Channel NewsAsia
law and home affairs minister K Shanmugam has said Singaporeans are capable of deciding for themselves what the real issues are in the coming General Election and not be distracted by Internet chatter.
Mr Shanmugam said Singaporeans need to distinguish between facts and pure speculation when it comes to comments on the Internet.

**** Youths' Intention To Emigrate 'Not Linked To Threat From Foreign Talent' <http://www.todayonline.com/Singapore/EDC110404-0000238/Youths-intention-to-emigrate-not-linked-to-threat-from-foreign-talent>
Leong Wee Keat, Today
The perceived threat from foreign talent is less likely to influence Singaporean youths' intention to emigrate overseas, according to a new study. Rather, the survey by think-tank Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) found youths' intention to emigrate are "positively linked" to factors such as liberal emigration norms, perceived higher status of Singaporeans who have emigrated and socio-economic security offered by the recipient country.
But the study's principal investigator, Dr Leong Chan Hoong, cautioned against "making any causality statement" on youths' perceived threat from foreign talent. "It could be that those who felt threatened by foreign talent would rather compete with them in Singapore instead of relocating overseas," he explained. "Or it may be that those who are keen to leave no longer regard foreign talent as an issue since they already made up their mind to relocate."
