This made AirPrint a less appealing feature for many users, since it is now apparently limited to certain HP printer models. Developer Steven Troughton-Smith found the configuration files necessary to reenable that support, though, and in the process discovered the mechanism that makes AirPrint discovery work.

Among the more prominent fixes included in the update is a fix for a bug in Apple Type Services which could allow the downloading of a maliciously crafted font file to lead to arbitrary code execution. That bug, originally caught by security firm Core Security, was similar to a vulnerability in Apple’s iOS that allowed hackers to jailbreak devices running that software. Apple patched the flaw in an iOS update.

Singapore’s gross domestic product will cap its fastest annual growth this year since independence, rising as much as 15 percent to about $210 billion, while the economy of Malaysia, a country 478 times its size, will expand 7 percent to $205 billion, government forecasts show. The nations are scheduled to release their 2010 data by February.

Alice explains that part of the significance of the garden is that it is possibly the only garden in Southeast Asia where orchids are grown from the ground. “In most places, even the Botanic Gardens, most of the orchids are in pots, and those places are also very landscaped.” And then, there is the garden’s rich history.
